  • At the beggining of Chapter 13 Johannes has a strange dream he dram of people spinning round and round in a large room.
  • In his dream he tried to reach out to them but him touching them was forbidden.

  • In this chapter his grandmother was scared that they were going to get expelled from the society.

  • In this chapter Johannes and his friend David would take time to go to Cathedral Square, and they would watch plays be performed.

  • In this chapter Johannes gets a complement from a girl and he doesn't know how to take it because he thought she was beutiful and an actor so he thought she could do better

  • He sweats and becomes very nervous when he is around her but he talked to his grandfather and he gave him some advice

  • Johannes had said something that I didn't understand he said "that justice had been done, and everone has given to many feelings"

  • In these chapters he seems to be confused about his life.

  • In this chapter the boys are exited because they want to have their first sexual encounter but the boys are only 16 and 19 and Johannes says he must be able to support his wife and have a job but Jacob thought otherwise

  • In this chapter the boys compete to see which one if manlier. By having silly contests
  • Two guys considered Jacob and Johannes were weak because they were ashamed to walk around naked but the other boys weren't
  • In the next chapter Johannes is happy because he is going to the fair

  • This books reminds me of the book we read in class the Anthem because like in the Anthem the Cure doesn't give people normal names they give them numbers for example Gemm 16884.

  • I like the way the authour introuduced the book . But i didn't understand the beggining that well.
  • In the book Gemm 16884 has night mares, were he wished his twin sister Gemma 16884 could sleep with him so he couldn't get the nightmares
  • I think that the society from The Cure is just like the one from Anthem you werent allowed to make any ideas.
  • This was an Utopian society, and differences were considered devient
