  • At this point he is fed up with his life and he compares it to a roller coaster. He now begins to get a thrill from stealing just to see if he could get caught but he said that he would never smuggle into Mrs. Cantanze's home. Then he got bored of stealing candy he would steal toys and he became known for it and he liked the attention.
  • One day he got dared to steal something by a little boy called Johnny but he set him up Johnny's father was the manager of the store David kept stealing from after David came out the store from stealing his prize they yelled busted . Lillian was really upset with him and she just didn't understand what was his problem.
  • Then she accused him of stealing her cigarettes he denied it but she could no longer believe him because he had accused of stealing.
  • David also began to do his chores in a careless matter and then he decided that he was going to run away. At this point I think hes just being a reckless child.
  • Ms. Gold the social worker that had worked with David before asked him what was going on with his behavior and he hadn't seen her in a while so he knew things were serious and then he told her that he was tired of being picked on.
