  • These chapters are when Europe decided that they should explore the oceans and trade.

  • Europe had began trading with the help of Asian technology.

  • Asia had better technology to trade with other countries but Europes technology wasn't as advanced as theirs was.

  • The Chinease were very skilled at making their ships they had special ships built to sail for monsoon wheather.

  • Europe mainly wanted to trade with Asia to get spices to preserve their food for longer.

  • At first when I read the title to this chapter I thought it would be about Christianity but instead it is about the Eastern Roman Empire.


  • In this chapter is when the Barbarians who moved south into the late Roman Empire had tried to take over.

  • It also mentions Asia, China, and India. But it mostly mentions China and the Mongols and it breafly mentions India.

  • It mentions how the people from India bealived in Hinduism.

  • Jerusalem was the Capital of Israel and was considered Holy Land for the Christians and Muslimas and there was a war between them to decided who should own the land.


  • These chapters also mention the Jewish people and how they effected that era.


  • The Religion that had the greater impact was Christianity because it was spread through most of Europe including Spain.

  • These few chapters were about the Hellas and Alexander.

  • The greeks created the vocabulary of the European Philosophy, politics, science and arts.

  • The greeks first devised constitutional self- goverment by the citizens of a slave-owning society, and plato and Aristotle analysed phtics more deeply than Confucis.

  • There was also information about Rome in these chapters.

  • These two chapters are mostly about the Bronze age of Europe.
  • The Neolithic culture of Crete is immensely old.
  • By rge 1150 BC these Bronze Age lords were being overwhelmed by new invaders from the north the iron weapons and greater manpower.
  • Bronze Age of Europe, like Mycenae, now had to face the infiltration of new invaders
  • The decline of the Hittie and Egyptian empires in the thirteenth century BC gave the Phoenician cities a short lived independence, and afterwards they were far too useful for the Assyrians and Persiajs to destroy.
