  • Alothough. agains its vast Asian background, the rise of European scientific method was much more important than the power politics of the age, to western contemporaries their pompous and glittering panache of moncarchs.
  • War was taken for granted and so was economic advantages.
  • This chapter was also about European expansion overseas which was a social and political event that was going on.
  • The Spaniards had dominated South Americia: their goverment was stictly centralized, urban and Catholic.
