  • Christopher Columbus discovered an Island called the Hispaniola and he encountered Indians called the Tainos.

  • The King and Queen of Spain were to reward Columbus for his discoveries by letting him become the Viceroy of the Island.

  • His discoveries helped with the creation of the Columbian Exchange.

  • This chapter is also about Medieval Africa , the Spaniards went into Africa to get slaves because they had killed most of the Tainos.

  • This part of history had a very big impact on the World.
